This BMW G80 M3 arrived at Veloce Tuning in Carrum Downs for a performance-focused exhaust upgrade. With its powerful engine and performance credentials, the G80 M3 is a vehicle where the exhaust system can make a noticeable difference to the driving experience.
The customer chose an Akrapovic exhaust system as the first phase of a planned performance upgrade, with a custom ECU recalibration to follow as Phase 2.
The team at Veloce Tuning, an experienced Carrum Downs mechanic for performance vehicles and tuning, inspected the vehicle and existing exhaust system before carrying out the installation.
The Akrapovic exhaust was carefully fitted as the first stage of the upgrade, with attention to correct fitment and the integration of the system with the BMW's existing setup.
This type of performance work requires more than simply replacing exhaust components. Correct installation is important for ensuring the system is securely fitted and operates as intended.
With the Akrapovic exhaust installed, the BMW G80 M3 is now ready for the next stage of the customer's performance plans: a custom ECU recalibration. The aim is to complement the exhaust upgrade with tuning tailored to the vehicle and its new configuration.
The completed exhaust installation provides the foundation for the next phase while delivering the customer a more performance-focused exhaust setup.
The video accompanying this case study shows the BMW G80 M3 and the Akrapovic exhaust installation.
